We enjoyed our stay here very much, our ride to Hidden Valley with Alan and our walk up the South Road, with interesting flowers and birds. Our "Swartberg" house is really "cool" in all ways, and Anja's suppers were delicious. We wish you the best for the future.

We came from Namibia to help Alan towards qualifying for his ringer's license and to see a part of southern Africa we had not visited before. A beautiful tranquil place, a number of bird species we had not ringed before and a most enjoyable few days.

After a three hour drive we ended up in this unusual place. We were very excited to get to the house as they caught a leopard for it to get a radio collar on and to free it afterwards. Sorry that we missed it by one hour, especially as my husband is going to stay three weeks with the "Cape Leopard Trust" as a volunteer and sponsor. Another bonus was that a ringer stayed on the farm to teach Alan how to ring small birds, this was quite interesting for us. So we decided to extend our stay as we liked it so much. Did some very interesting birding with Alan, made beautiful walks and enjoyed the hospitality of Alan and Anja. A pity we had to move on.

Zwar haben wir mit unserem Sohn Samuel (21 Monate) nicht viel Gelegenheit gehabt, euer Land gross zu erkunden, dafuer haben wir die Gelegenheiten Stachelschweine oder Klipspringer nah beim Haus zu sehen um so mehr genossen.
