Guest House - Bed and Breakfast

All guest rooms are named for the local mountain ranges. The house has been furnished and decorated with simple love to make you feel welcome. Guest rooms are on the first floor with shared shower on the ground floor, with access by stairway only - if this is a concern you may prefer our Baviaans cottage self-catering option.

Kouga double room:

A bright, stylish, medium sized room with a lovely early morning view of the sunrise over lucerne fields and protea covered hillsides.

Outeniqua twin room, with bunkbed (sleeps up to 4):

A very large, pine furnished room with ample space to spread out, relax, read a book or catch the afternoon sunshine. This room is ideal for friends or small groups travelling together.

Tsitsikamma twin room:

A simple, cosy unit, best suited for those who want to get out and about (or sleep in and enjoy the comfy mattresses).

Lounge:

A large, communal lounge area is equipped with comfortable sofas, an open fire place, some games and an extensive library. There is no TV but we have DVDs that you can watch on your own laptop. Adjacent to the living room is the dining area with a big communal table where meals are served. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the dining room and upstairs passage-way for you to use throughout the day.

Dining room:

Accommodation in the main guest house can be booked as bed and breakfast (perfect for overnighters). Three meals a day are available for those who stay longer: breakfast buffet, picnic lunch and home-cooked dinner. Please tell us at time of booking if you are a vegetarian or have any special dietary needs.

Meals are a variety of South African dishes featuring seasonal, home-grown, organic vegetables. The home-baked bread and home-made cheese are delicious. Spring water or locally harvested honeybush tea are provided with meals, and fruit juice if in season. Soft drinks are available for purchase. There is no alcohol for sale but we are happy for you to bring your own.
