Tasty dirt

A Blue-headed parrot stands proudly amongst a mixed flock with a bit-size chunk of clay. Watching the birds interact when they are so close together can be very entertaining - I have seen an Orange-cheeked parrot try and steal clay from the beak of a Mealy parrot! It took hold of the clay in the beak of the Mealy parrot and was then literally lifted off the ground by the Mealy parrot, like a bulldog hanging onto a rope. The Orange-cheek had to let go when the Mealy decided it had had enough of the cheeky smaller bird and flew off.
